8×10 Moroccan Rugs

The 8×10 Moroccan rug is the workhorse of the living room — the size that grounds a sofa, opens up an open-plan space, and still leaves enough floor visible to make the room feel generous. Our 8×10 rugs measure approximately 244 × 305 cm, and they are the most popular size in the catalog, with well over a hundred designs in stock at any time.

Because the collection is so large, it spans the full range of Moroccan weaving: classic ivory Beni Ourain rugs, high-contrast Mrirt and Azilal pieces, and the newer colorblocked modern Berber designs. What they share is the construction — every rug is hand-knotted in pure wool by Atlas artisans, one knot at a time, and every piece in the 8×10 range is a one-of-one, sold as a single item. When a design is gone, it is gone.

An 8×10 rug suits living rooms from roughly 12 × 16 feet upward. As a rule of thumb, the front legs of your sofa and chairs should sit on the rug, with around 12–18 inches of floor showing around the edges.
