Terracotta Rugs Collection
12 hand-knotted rugs · handmade in Morocco · free worldwide shipping
Terracotta is the color of Moroccan earth, and it has become one of the most requested palettes in contemporary interiors. These rugs carry fields of rust, clay, burnt orange and warm sienna — dyed with plant-based colorants and woven into the graphic geometry of Mrirt and modern Berber designs. A terracotta rug adds immediate warmth and grounds a room the way a neutral cannot.
Most of the terracotta collection comes from the Mrirt tradition, where the warm ground is cut through with charcoal, black and ivory linework to striking effect. The modern Berber rugs in this range push further into peach and blush territory, building soft gradients of warm color across abstract fields. All are hand-knotted from 100% wool in the Atlas Mountains, and every piece is one-of-one.
Terracotta works beautifully with natural materials — oak and walnut floors, linen, stone, rattan — and with olive, sage, navy and cream accents. It is a considered alternative to brown: warmer, more current, and just as easy to live with. With twelve designs currently available, the terracotta collection is compact but curated, and it is the collection we expect to grow fastest as this palette stays in demand.
