Founder & Artisan — Nomadinas
“Every rug carries generations of tradition. I started Nomadinas to share these stories with the world — bringing authentic Moroccan craftsmanship directly to your home.”
Born in the Atlas Mountains, Mustapha learned the art of weaving from his grandmother at a young age. He grew up surrounded by the rhythmic click of wooden looms and the earthy scent of natural wool — a sensory world that would define his life’s work.
After years of witnessing skilled Berber weavers receive only a fraction of their rug’s true value through layers of middlemen, Mustapha founded Nomadinas to create a direct bridge between the weavers of the Atlas and homes around the world. No intermediaries. Fair pay for every piece. The story that comes with each rug kept intact.
Today he works directly with a cooperative of more than thirty weavers across the Middle Atlas region, sourcing natural highland wool, preserving traditional dye techniques, and ensuring that every authentic Berber rug carries the signature of its maker.
When he is not traveling between weaving villages, Mustapha writes about Moroccan craftsmanship, Amazigh culture, and the art of bringing heritage textiles into modern interiors.
